It looks like young Dani will finally get her chance to “shine” in T-ara’s N4 as the replacement for recently departed member Ahreum.
Ahreum announced her departure from T-ara in order to “pursue solo activities“, presumably after looking at Kim Kwang Soo the wrong way yesterday. Today, Core Content Media announced that Dani would be taking her place in T-ara’s sub-unit N4 but curiously she would not be considered a member of T-ara itself:
With Ahreum leaving both T-ara and T-ara N4, Dani will be taking her place in the “Countryside Life” subunit.
Since T-ara will be promoting only with its original members, Dani won’t be joining the actual group – she’ll just be promoting with Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon as a member of T-ara N4.
Since Dani’s fluent in English, this may help the girls during their American promotions when their English album is released. Dani will also be promoting as a T-ara N4 member in Korea as well.
As for Ahreum herself, CCM has rushed to assure everyone that she is totally going to release something next year as a solo artist and she’s going to be the next BoA or some shit like that:
“In the case of Ahreum, she’ll be active as a soloist like BoA. Ahreum is still young and can pull off various genres of music including ballad and hip hop. Even from the company’s point of view, it is a waste to keep her buried in T-ara,” the rep explained.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA. CCM can’t even get a press release right.
“Ahreum will be BoA. Also, T-ara sux compared to her.” – CCM.
On the subject of Dani joining N4, but not T-ara; it shows a couple of things.
1. The company had not thought (and I’m using that word loosely) out a smooth transition process from Ahreum to Dani and could only prepare her for one of the performances.
2. Dani isn’t ready for idol-hood but Kim Kwang Soo gives zero fucks.
(3. Kim Kwang Soo really, really wants to jump Dani’s pants and can’t wait any longer)
The answer probably lies in the middle. But hey, every decision that CCM and T-ara has made so far has been spot on, with no complications, so I think they’ve earned our trust in these matters.

That’s such a diss of T-ara that I wonder if it’s a translation error. On the other hand, it wouldn’t be the dumbest statement CCM has made.
I seriously doubt T-ara N4 will ever promote again – in Korea or America. I’m about 90% sure T-ara’s American plans ended with the Chris Brown incident. I think this was a way to make it look like Dani has a place in the company without actually doing anything with her. After all, why not just announce that she’s going to join T-ara as originally planned?
I think it has to be that she’s not prepared to perform a lot of the songs that T-ara would need to for concerts or whatever. With N4 it would be just one song… but it definitely doesn’t look like CCM has a lot of confidence in her yet.
At best, this looks like a rush job.
But T-ara N4 is done promoting their song. After their Japan concerts, I would expect T-ara as a whole to focus on a Korean comeback.
So, if N4 did perform again, it probably wouldn’t be until next year. It give it about as much chance as Areum’s “solo” debut.
No but you see T-ara N4 is still totally going to promote with Chris Brown for remixes of “Countryside Life” and become big international stars because faaaaaaaarrrrrrrttzzzzz

I really want to see the reaction from people when a 14-year old is performing a song with Chris Brown’s lyrics “Put that ass on the floor. Bottle after bottle with a million ho’s….”.

As an increasingly dedicated T-ara fan/anti/fan I will throw out some logical as anything else wild speculations.
1 Dani is going to bully the hell out of these demure girls cuz D is an american teenager and what do you expect?
2 Queen Eunjung, mad with jealousy, shoots dead Dani, KKS, herself, and maybe Soyean cuz her new face just aint right.
3 Dani knifes KKS in self defense and after a public outcry gets a medal from the Korean prez for services in the protection of schoolgirls.

My first instict is to fear for Dani, but after thinking about it a bit more I think if shes used to hanging with Chris Brown she should be fine with the KKS circus. As a bonus, whatever bad things happen to her she can’t say she wasn’t warned. Do have to wonder about her parents tho.
