Waifu Wednesday: Mina

mina twice

Myoui Mina, better known by her stage name Mina, is a Japanese K-Pop idol singer and dancer. She is best known for being a vocalist in JYP Entertainment’s future global phenomenon TWICE.

Like most of TWICE outside of political insurgent Tzuyu, not a whole lot has been written about Mina. A short Wikipedia entry states that she was born in San Antonio before moving to Japan as a baby. Her familiarity with dancing apparently comes from eleven years of ballet and that fact certainly helps explain her rise in JYPE’s trainee program, her eventual success on the reality show SIXTEEN and her triumphant debut with TWICE.

Yeah, there’s no reason to doubt that Mina will be a force of nature for years to come in K-Pop. TWICE supremacy, Mina supremacy.

Mina’s dance moves are smoother than heaven’s marble.

Head status: still spinning.

  1. Twice still scares me ’cause they all look so incredibly young. Songs catchy though.

    1. The funny thing is I think Hyuna was even younger when she debuted with the Wonder Girls I believe. She must have been 14 at the time.

It’s hard to be an uncle fan when they have some girl dancing around who isn’t even 18 yet. I was my late 20’s when Britney Spears debuted and even that age gap made me feel a bit dirty…lol.

  2. There she is!
    Bless her gloriously Japanese face.

  3. Power to Imperialist Japan! The subversion is underway! Bring on the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist-Tzuyuism.

  4. Who’s more flexible? Mina or Victoria?

  5. Twice have only recently had their debut and there’s already 5 Waifu Wednesdays for them? Good job to Yellow Slug to only make them on the ones that are 18 and over!
