Internet Queen Jessica Jung Wins ‘Yahoo Asia Buzz Awards’ Again

One year after winning the “Yahoo Asia Buzz Awards” for most searched female artist, former SNSD member,  current search term mogul and forever Ice Princess Jessica Jung won the same award again on December 10th.

Yes, despite not releasing any music during 2015 and not being very active in the entertainment world since her public split from Girls’ Generation in 2014, Jessica’s iron-fisted rule of the internet continues unabated.

The K-Pop idol turned fashion designer turned soon-to-be-solo-artist also fielded a question on her upcoming music project during her award acceptance. Unfortunately, the singer responded with some bland platitudes about her song being for her fans and didn’t really say anything that couldn’t have been gleaned from her recent High Cut interview. (I was really hoping that she’d say that she was dropping a track for all the haters and doubters before tearing up a Beyond 9 sweater with her bare hands. It’s a slow news day.)

“Well, I don’t know how much I can disclose at the moment but, um,  that is true and I am participating in it a lot and I hope … It’s dedicated to all my fans who have been waiting so I hope that you guys look forward to it. Just wait a little bit more.”

SOOOOOOOOOOON.

  1. As always she delivers the robotic, scripted, generic Kpop idol commentary. This is why I love Min so much – she pretty much says whatever is on her mind. And typically in better English than Cali-born and raised Jessica and Stephanie Hwang.
