SM Entertainment Confirms That A (What Is Sure To Be Glorious) TaeTiSeo Comeback Is In The Works

Not deterred by Oreo smashers or delusional netizens, SM Entertainment has stated that the SNSD sub-unit TaeTiSeo (the not-too-originally-named trio of Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun) will be making a comeback some time soon.

A date has not been set yet but expect some good vocals to be coming your way this fall:

An SM rep told media outlets on the 6th, “TaeTiSeo are preparing hard for their album. The exact comeback date has not been set yet. We will announce it once it has been confirmed.”

Another rep revealed it wasn’t too far off though as he said, “TaeTiSeo will make a comeback soon… They’re working hard to prepare at the moment, but an exact time period hasn’t been decided on.”

The group is also apparently working on a reality television show which will presumably not chronicle the clusterfuck that ended up driving Taeyeon into social media exile for a month and a half.

Still, the fact that SM Entertainment is willing to roll with TaeTiSeo relatively soon after some people lost their minds over Taeyeon being in a relationship probably means that that particular shit storm is over (right?).

The best part about all of this is that we should be getting some good music out of this. Not only was the “Twinkle” music video fun but the album Twinkle was actually pretty fantastic. “Library”, “Goodbye, Hello” and “Love Sick” are as good as anything SNSD has released in the last five years so if the sub-unit can produce anything close to their debut, TaeTiSeo should be something to look forward to in the coming months.

Besides, who cares what crazed netizens think. The more Taeyeon in K-Pop, the better.

  1. Again you are absolutely correct. Their debut album was very solid, and I’m really glad to see it wasn’t just a one shot deal. Although I was kind of hoping for a different three (Jessica, Sunny, and I dunno, Hyo?) to sub also, I am certainly looking forward to this.

  2. Meh. I’m more hyped about OC and CP.

  4. I’m looking forward to their follow up effort. I think Taeyeon and Tiffany really helped bring Seohyun out of her shell a lot with the experience of this group. She seemed much more comfortable with herself and as a performer after she did this project and I think her voice goes very nicely with Tiffany’s and Taeyeon’s.

One of my favorite songs from their first album was “Baby Steps.” I have seen a video of them performing it live at some outdoor amphitheater for some fairly formal looking event. I also liked that they did something with that album that sounded quite different from SNSD musically, which was pretty fun.
