The only way that this can be settled is by having a face-off, right?
Rainbow BLAXX made an appearance on Mnet’s ‘Beatles Code 3D’ and were asked if they could outdo Girl’s Day’s sexiness. Asking that is like asking if one likes sunshine or air more. There isn’t really a wrong way to go. Rainbow BLAXX ain’t here to play nice though.
Without hesitation, Woori said, “Yes.” Mir asked, “Which team of the two do you think the public finds sexier?” The members said, “We are sexier. First off, our average age is higher than theirs.” Rainbow BLAXX’s average age is 26, while Girl’s Day is much younger at 23.
Jaekyung said, “We even told the agency with self-confidence, ‘We have the confidence not to lose in sexiness,'” and Woori added, “As long as we’re doing it, might as well do it with confidence.“
It is refreshing to see an idol be so confident in their talents, especially when lobbed a baiting question meant to directly compare one’s own group to another. It would have been much easier for Woori to cop out with a pro athlete’s “both sides tried hard” canned response but nope. Sexy challenge issued instead.
If the gods are good, this will create a running feud between Rainbow BLAXX and Girl’s Day where both try to one-up the other in sexiness with subsequent releases. It will culminate in a WWE-style brawl with Jaekyung and Hyunyoung battling Sojin and Yura for the K-Pop “Sexiest Girl Group” Championship Belt. No matter what happens, we all win.
